About
Following a 20-year career in marketing, Lisa was able to return to her true love of art full time. After experimenting with a variety of mediums and subject matter, she discovered the joy of working with pastels. She especially loves the immediacy of the medium and richness of the color possibilities.
The face is her favorite subject - specifically, the faces of people from other cultures and countries encountered on her travels. She also enjoys featuring local flora and fauna in colorful paintings as well as doing sanguine sketches and quick studies.
Lisa’s work has been shown in a variety of venues and galleries. She has achieved Signature status in both the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of the West Coast, and is a member of numerous art organizations and societies. She serves on the board of IAPS (International Association of Pastel Societies) and chairs the Communications Committee.
